Keith is looking great as ever. Lliwedd Keith. National Trust Welsh Black Cattle at the Hafod y Llan farm
What can i say. I am famous for my ‘bull’. Don’t get this wrong it is nothing to do with my communication style (others would disagree) but as of yesterday we have 11 Keith’s at Hafod y Llan the Snowdon farm where we are building the hydros. The National Trust has a 100 strong heard of hardy pedigree Welsh Black cattle at the farm. Their main purpose is as conservation grazing animals restoring the habits on this iconic farm. This years cohort of calves from the Lliwedd heard are sheltering at the farm over winter (the heard name comes from one of the mountains which frames the farm) Tradition dictates the calves name which will be registered with the Welsh Black society follows a new letter of the alphabet each year. This year is ‘K’. What can i say… Wyn at the farm has named them Lliwedd Keith I to Lliwedd Keith XI. I am now sat here calmly waiting for a tirade of comments from my esteemed colleagues!
The numbers of blogs have fallen off in the lest few weeks…and yes there is some big stuff on the go. Not least the 14th of Feb, an iconic vehicle, two new hydros and much more. I am off tomorrow at silly o’clock to help with biomass fuel in the SW of Wales and Paul is working opposite ends of Wales on re-servising a hydro and the install of the marine source heat pump has started. Much much more to come in the next couple of week…oh and electric vehicles are getting serious
